This exhibit opening at Chicago History Museum will offer “an unprecedented look at the history, science and social experiences of race and racism in the United States.” Guests will be able to explore the U.S. Census, scan their skin and add it to a mosaic of scans from other visitors, and more.

A $12 wristband will get you chili samples and a pint, and all proceeds will be donated to the Greater Chicago Food Depository. Think your chili is the best? Auditorium Theatre is celebrating the 50th anniversary of the theater’s re-opening with an evening of dance. Featured participants include American Ballet Theatre, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, Joffrey Ballet, New York City Ballet, and San Francisco Ballet.

  • Chicago’s Veterans Day Ceremony will be held on Nov. 11 at Soldier Field. The Honorable Ryan D. McCarthy, Acting Secretary of the Army, will deliver the keynote address and the West Point Glee Club will perform. Learn more.
