The Chicago History Museum is one of 10 recipients of the 2016 National Medal for Museum and Library Service for their work serving our community. The Institute of Museum and Library Services presented the award during an event at the White House on June 1 to recognize the museum’s work on exhibits like “My Chinatown,” “Benito Juarez and the Making of Modern Mexico,” “Out in Chicago” and “Shalom Chicago.” This is the highest honor given to museums and libraries in the country.
