9 Fall TV Shows You Won’t Want to Miss

Few things ease the pain of summer coming to an end like the return of fall TV. Yes, your favorite shows are (hopefully) coming back — shout-out to “This Is Us” — but what’s new this year?

In 2017, what’s old is new again — from revamps of classic favorites to small-screen adaptions of popular books and movies.

These are the fall TV shows that have everyone talking. Queue up the DVR and get your Netflix account ready. It’s time to binge.

If you liked “The Wire,” try… “The Deuce

HBO’s new drama will transport you to New York City in the ’70s and ’80s, going behind the scenes of the rise of the porn industry. But it’s not just about porn. Starring James Franco and Maggie Gyllenhaal, this high-energy drama digs deep into the objectification of sex work and is stacked with complex characters. This is one you won’t want to miss.

Did we mention Jim Parsons is an executive producer?

Though the rest of the medical staff is slow to warm up to the new surgeon, he quickly proves that his medical talents are like nothing they’ve seen before. Cue doctor drama, inter-staff tension and, if we know ABC, a few tangled love interests.
