Sarkis’ Cafe

At 50 years old, Sarkis feels just like what it is, a local greasy spoon. Go for the food and fast service. A staple for North Shore high schoolers, you have to try a bacon loretta with egg and cheesey hash, or a Sarkis special omelet. (There’s a secret spice in the coffee, too!) Seating is at a cramped counter where you can watch the action, several booths, or at outdoor picnic tables. Sarkis just opened a second location in Lincoln Park.
