“I stopped that day because that is what I would hope people would do for me, my wife, my family. It was simply a good deed for my fellow man.” Robert King thought he was stopping on the side of Lake Shore Drive, last spring, to help after a car accident. What he didn’t know was that the crashed vehicle was an organ transport van on the way to the hospital for surgery.
With no time to waste, he made a decision that would save a patient’s life.
