“We Dissent!” The Women Who Stood with RBG

Ruth Bader Ginsburg has often said that true and lasting change in society and law is accomplished slowly, one step at a time.

On August 2, 2020, Dean Emerita of Loyola Law School Nina S. Appel and The Honorable Judge Carole Kamin Bellows reflected upon their legal careers, what it meant to break the “glass ceiling” at a time when women accounted for less than 3% of the legal profession, and their unique relationships with the Notorious RBG. The discussion was moderated by The Honorable Judge Abbey Romanek, Vice President, Illinois Holocaust Museum & Education Center.
