May 25: “Chicago Styled: Fashioning the Magnificent Mile

May 26: PTC Classic Car Show
Patty Turner Center, 375 Elm St., Deerfield

Come see classic and antique cars, like a 1929 Ford Model A Special Coupe and 1941 Packard Model 120 Convertible Coupe, and talk to their owners.

May 27: Next Level Sailing Chicago
Lake Michigan

Set sail in famous Americas Cup yachts “Stars and Stripes” or “Abracadabra.” Until Oct. 31, private charters will take place Monday-Friday, Firework Sails will occur on Wednesday and Saturday nights, and the America’s Cup Racing Experience is open to the public on Saturdays and Sundays.

Introduce your children to the work of Marc Chagall with this exhibit featuring 14 multi-sensory exploration stations that will allow kids to create flower arrangements, explore light with stained glass, weave a simple tapestry and more. 

June 4: Milwaukee Art Museum’s Free First Thursday

Take a quick road trip and enjoy free admission at the Milwaukee Art Museum. Then, make a day of it by exploring all the dining, shopping and entertainment options the city has to offer.

June 5: Chicago Sky vs. Indiana Fever

The Sky open their 2015 season against Indiana and will host special events throughout the summer, including Pride Night (June 30), African American Heritage Night (July 21) and Breast Health Awareness Night (August 7 and 9).

June 5-6: Pony Rides

Kids 6 years old and younger can ride ponies for $5 every Saturday and Sunday, spring through fall. 

June 6: World Environment Day

Meet and learn about conservation from CBG scientists, horticulturists and chefs, as well as Danielle Niereenberg, co-founder of Food Tank.

June 6-7: Redhead Days Festival
City Hall Park, 17 Highwood Ave., Highwood

The Redhead Days Festival originated in Breda, Holland, and is coming to the U.S. for the first time ever. Walk through Highwood as you shop ginger gear, drinks and goodies, participate in the Carrot Cake Contest or join the photo of the largest number of redheads assembled together in the country.

June 8: Chicago Sinfonietta’s “United We Stand”
Symphony Center, 220 S. Michigan Ave., Chicago

Don’t miss Chicago Sinfonietta’s final performance of the season, a tribute to service members that will include photos submitted by both patrons and musicians.

June 9: Cravings on Clark

Take a walk along Clark Street and Diversey Parkway in Lincoln Park and sample favorites from local restaurants, including Vanille Patisserie, Dunlays On Clark, KC Chocolatier and Eleven Lincoln Park.

Begins June 10: Jackman Park Summer Concert Series

Bring food, a folding chair or blanket, and some friends to Jackman Park every Wednesday night until July 29 for live music. The series kicks off with the Glenview Concert Band.

June 11: Art in Motion
Northwestern’s Lurie Center Ryan Family Atrium, 303 E. Superior St., Chicago

The 13th Annual Art in Motion event benefitting the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago opens with a night of awards and celebration on June 11. The gallery is open to the public until June 18.

Begins June 12: “Ithamar Has Nothing to Say”
Donny’s Skybox Theatre in The Second City Training Center, 1616 N. Wells St., Chicago

Second City alum Ithamar Enriquez is back in Chicago with a silent one-man comedy show. Yes, silent. Enriquez’ TV credits include “Arrested Development,” “The Office” and “Law and Order.”

June 13-14: Old Town Art Fair
Old Town Triangle District, Chicago

Visit one of the top fine arts fairs in the country, displaying the work of 250 artists (more than 100 of which are new to the fair in 2015) in the beautiful tree-lined Old Town Triangle neighborhood.

June 15-19: Little Brushes Camp
Pinot’s Palette, 2011 Tower Drive, Glenview

Kids ages 7 to 12 will spend the morning painting with a professional artist who specializes in children’s art education before breaking for lunch and then completing a unique craft in the afternoon. Participants can sign up for the entire week or just one day.

June 17: Judy Blume

Beloved author Judy Blume is back with her latest novel, “In the Unlikely Event,” available June 2. This book was inspired by a three-month period during Blume’s childhood in which multiple passenger airplanes crashed in Elizabeth, N.J.

Begins June 18: Chicago Women’s Funny Festival
Stage 773, 1225 W. Belmont, Chicago

For four days, 500 performers in more than 160 groups will put on more than 80 hilarious shows.

June 18: Oak Street Summer Shop-Around
Oak Street Shopping District, 116 E. Oak, Chicago

Join Make It Better and the Oak Street Council for a day of shopping as participating boutiques and salons will donate 10 percent of sales to the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago. Win-win!

June 19-21: 6 Corners BBQ Fest

This Portage Park fest is celebrating its fifth year by expanding to three days of music, arts & crafts, kids activities, pro-wrestling and, of course, mouth-watering barbecue.

June 21: Make Music Chicago

It’s a good thing this festival takes place during the summer solstice because with more than 200 performances and events with more than 1,000 musicians in 70 locations in 20 neighborhoods, you’ll need as much sunlight as you can get.
