2 Free Sessions and 10 Prize Drawing Honor 10 Years
June 4 - June 30Free
Who: June 17, 2021 marks the 10 year anniversary of Lake Zurich residents, Kevin Coleman’s (age 70) and Carol Coleman’s (63) launch of their first Exercise Coach fitness studio, located in Libertyville, IL. When the Colemans joined The Exercise Coach as the first Franchisees of the business there were only 4 studios in existence. Today, The Exercise Coach, a revolutionary concept that utilizes proprietary artificial intelligence and robotics-enabled equipment to enable Clients to get all the exercise they need in only 20 minutes, twice a week, has more than 100 U.S. locations and 35 locations in Japan. The Coleman’s Libertyville studio serves the towns of Libertyville, Green Oaks, Mundelein, and Vernon Hills. The married couple opened a second location in Palatine on Sept. 23, 2011.
The duo started thinking about opening a business after Kevin had spent 36 years in corporate positions, most recently as Chief Administrative Officer for a Private Equity firm, and prior to that an SVP of Human Resources at Bank of America, and Carol had been very active in the community as a Trustee, head of the Parish Council and worked for the Chamber of Commerce.
During his decision process to find a franchise to launch, a friend convinced Kevin to consider The Exercise Coach. After trying the proprietary Exerbotics equipment that adjusts a person’s workout in real time to his or her strengths and weaknesses, he immediately signed up as a client. Four months later, the couple signed up as franchisees. When Kevin began as an Exercise Coach client, he weighed 290. Today, he weighs 218 and his body fat is 10%. Carol had been diagnosed with osteoarthritis when she was 38 years old. The Exercise Coach has helped with her flexibility and the increase in muscle strength has provided much-needed support for her joints.
The Colemans’ oldest son, Chris and youngest son, Dan are full-time Coaches and manage the couple’s second studio in Palatine. In addition to Carol, Kevin, Chris and Dan, the family has one other full-time coach and three part-time coaches. In an industry with typically high turnover, their least tenured employee has been with them for three years.
What/Why: This couple’s Libertyville franchise location has successfully weathered 10 years of various national economic shifts and a worldwide plague and now they wish to celebrate their anniversary with the community.
