October 20, 2019 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm$15 – $25
Bear Necessities Pediatric Cancer Foundation will host A Walk for the Bear, its 6th Annual Walk on Sunday, October 20 at 9:00 a.m. in Lincoln Park (Grove 2, intersection of Clark Street and LaSalle Drive). Trick-or-treat and walk the 3-mile trail dressed as your favorite warlock, witch or wizard to benefit pediatric cancer research and provide hope to those affected. Halloween fun will continue with hocus pocus activities including pumpkin decorating, costume contests and a boxed lunch after the walk. Presenting Sponsor of A Walk for the Bear is Donlen, A Hertz Company.
A Walk for the Bear brings together families and supporters of Bear Necessities in honor of children who are fighting and those who have lost their battle to pediatric cancer. Funds raised will benefit pediatric cancer research grants through Bear Discoveries and customized experiences through Bear Hugs.
