Celebrate Highwood gathers community together to show support in “Highwood Strong” t-shirt fundraising campaign
September 5, 2020 @ 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm$15 – $20
Although the beloved 2020 series of Celebrate Highwood events have been cancelled, Celebrate Highwood, a 501(c)(3) non-profit public charity vows that in 2021, their events will be back and better than ever. In order to plan and build momentum into 2021, the organization has launched a limited edition t-shirt campaign, with the theme “Highwood Strong” to keep the spirit and support of the Celebrate Highwood community strong! For every $20 adult t-shirt sold (unisex crew, ladies v-neck and tank top options) and every $15 child t-shirt sold, $13.50 and $8.50 respectively will go to support Celebrate Highwood’s 2021 season of family friendly festivals and events, to support community favorites: Bloody Mary Fest, Highwood Days, Garlic Fest, Nashwood, Pumpkin Fest and more!
The fundraising campaign will launch on August 4, 2020 and continue through the end of the month. The public is encouraged to go directly to https://www.celebratehighwood.org/highwood-strong-shirts/
and purchase their high-quality, soft t-shirts emblazed with “Highwood Strong.” At checkout one can indicate if they’d prefer the shirt be shipped directly, or if they’d like to pick-up in person in Downtown Highwood on Saturday, September 5th, from 4-7 p.m. outside of Marco’s Northside Grill and The Toadstool Pub’s mini pop up would-be-Nashwood event. Details will be sent with confirmation of order.
Purchasers are encouraged to further show their support and wear their T-shirt at their favorite Highwood establishment, take a photograph to post to social media and tag #HighwoodStrong and #CelebrateHighwood. We’re in this together!
“This important campaign supports community at every turn,” says Michael Goldstein, president of Celebrate Highwood. “Highwood is tenacious and when the going gets tough, our community pulls together and is tougher! We’ve built such an amazing series of events and when we can finally gather in person again, we vow to make 2021 our most special and engaging season ever.”
