City Garden Waldorf School Hosts Parent and Child Playdate

City Garden Waldorf School welcomes families to attend a free Parent and Child Playdate, Saturday, Sept. 21 from 9-11 a.m., for a hands-on Waldorf early childhood curriculum experience. This event is open to all current and prospective families of children ages 0-7. To reserve a spot, please do so by visiting the event page. (https://www.facebook.com/events/423715481592940/). Please visit www.citygardenwaldorfschool.com to learn more and to see upcoming open house dates.

City Garden is dedicated to the protection of childhood. Located in the Arts District of Pilsen, the program offers a play-based curriculum for children ages 3-6 years old. Each classroom meets the young children in an age-appropriate way, fostering healthy growth intellectually, physically, and emotionally. The children’s day features indoor and outdoor free play, helping with chores and daily snack preparation, Eurythmy (movement class), circle time, story or puppet play told by the teacher, rest, and a snack with classmates and teachers.

Children may attend 5 days, 3 days, or 2 days per week. Children in their Kindergarten year are required to attend 5 days per week in order to properly prepare them for First Grade. The school day runs from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday-Friday. Children stay with the same teacher and friends throughout their experience at City Garden, from their entry to school until graduation, cultivating those relationships. During the school year, aftercare is available until 6 p.m. Also available at City Garden are Saturday parent/child classes and summer camp. Visit the website for additional details.
