Giving Rocks Unplugged ’18
October 12, 2018 @ 7:00 pm - 10:30 pm
Giving Rocks Unplugged ’18 is back and bigger than ever. Kick off your weekend with music that’s not only good for the soul but benefits a worthwhile cause. Giving Rocks Unplugged prides itself on great music, and festive food and drinks. Most importantly, the night is about raising money for pediatric cancer research.
The evening features an amazing lineup of musical talent that includes American singer-songwriter Michael McDermott, blues harmonica legend Corky Siegel, and local blues prodigy Will Tilson. Additional performances feature incredibly talented teen musicians Mark Wehner, Noa Dayan, Kathryn Handler and Sophie Varones. Also unique to a Giving Rocks event is Syd Rocks necklace making, the lifeline of our foundation. Please join Giving Rocks in our fight to end Pediatric Cancer, and remember that every rock can lead to a cure.
Giving Rocks Foundation is a 501c3 nonprofit that was created in 2012 from the love and support that resulted from now 21-year old Syd Martin’s personal battle with LCH, a little known, potentially fatal disease impacting 1 in 200,000 children primarily under the age of 10. The Wilmette-based foundation delivers on their mission through merchandise sales, participation in events such as Lollapalooza and Wanderlust, and using their branded rock necklaces to build excitement, educate communities and raise funds to find a cure for LCH and pediatric cancer. To date, Giving Rocks Foundation has raised more than $700,000 to date.
