Hoops for the Ages 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament

Hoops for the Ages is part of the Aging Well Conference with three days of health and wellness events May 3rd, 5th and 6th .
Hoops for the Ages, a basketball tournament for men and women 40+, is taking place on day 3 of the conference, May 6, 9 am to 5 pm. Each 3-on-3 game is played with six players (3 per team) on the court in a half-court setup. Just as in traditional basketball, each basket is worth two or three points, with foul shots earning one point. A game consists of two 15-minute halves. Men’s teams will play at Robert Crown, and Women’s at the Levy Senior Center. Entry is free so come out and cheer the teams on.
Register a Team: There’s still time for teams to sign up! But, act fast, the deadline is April 21. Men’s and women’s teams will play in age brackets 40-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+. Players can play down (an age 55 player can play on a 50-54 team but cannot play on a 60-64 team). Register a team now at https://www.hoopsfortheages.org/register-2023
.Volunteer: Volunteers are needed for 2-hour slots in a number of support positions, including greeters, check-in, score keepers, time keepers, event monitors, and event coordinators. Snacks will be provided for volunteers. If you’re interested in helping out, email Rob Bady at [email protected]
