A new month means a new weekend family craft theme at the Mitchell Museum! During October, we’ll be exploring the cultures of the Northwest Coast.

Little ones can create their own mini button blanket, an important ceremonial item in Northwest Coast cultures. Kids 7 and up will enjoy making their own paper bentwood box, a multi-use container traditionally made of cedar. Teens and adults can test their skills sewing a fun plushie whale doll representing the whale’s significance in these cultures.

Crafts are appropriate for all ages, so bring the whole family!
