Open Communities 50th Anniversary Event

Open Communities celebrates 50 years of fighting for just and inclusive communities in Chicago’s North Shore and northwest suburbs. Join us as we honor our award recipients, network with business and fair housing leaders, and enjoy an evening of cocktails and appetizers at the Chicago Botanic Garden.

We are recognizing leaders and organizations who value and work for fair and just housing in our communities. We are awarding the Village of Northbrook the Rayna & Marvin Miller Community Justice Award, Gail Schecter the Jean R. Cleland Social Action Award, and WBEZ with the Spirit of Open Communities Award.
