Putting on a Play

This course is designed for students 9+ who are interested in putting on a play. Students will devise and rehearse together a Welcome to Winter Pageant Performance. This four-week quick course is set up to have fun bringing some seasonal characters to life and then putting together a short play with them. In the first week, the story and characters will be explored. In week two, the script will be shared and movement will be added. In week three, we will rehearse and solidify the story. Our final week we will have a final rehearsal where we will add some light costumes and props. Students will perform as part of the Winter Recital on Saturday, December 10. Students will be encouraged to work as an ensemble to tell our seasonal story, some light memorization will be encouraged for the performance, which will include some music and movement.
