Monthly Dinner Nights at Fuel

On Sunday, January 30, Fuel, a farm-to-table breakfast/lunch restaurant, will be holding a prix-fixe dinner event featuring local chef Michael Kropp.

For $40 per person, diners will enjoy a three-course meal plus dessert from the restaurant that usually features only breakfast and lunch foods.

First course options include Tuscan Bean Soup with Kale and Sausage, and the salad course is a Roasted Pear and Endive Salad with Roquefort Cheese and Candid Walnuts. For the main course, diners can order a Roasted Chicken Breast with Lentils du Puy, and for dessert they can enjoy a delicious Flourless Chocolate Cake. The event is BYOB and diners must reserve in advance.

Owner of Fuel, Tim Lenon, is starting monthly dinner events as a way to introduce a new dinner menu. Tim explains, “It started in December when we wanted to do some dinner dishes for the holidays. The event was successful, so I talked to a few of my chef buddies and we decided to work together to feature monthly dinners as a way to highlight Fuel’s upcoming dinner menu.”

Fuel takes pride in its ability to offer organic, locally produced foods. “Everything at Fuel is locally acquired from the eggs to the bread,” says Lenon. “We use local organic produce, meat from Wisconsin and all our breads are from Heavenly Hearth Bread Company also located in Wilmette.”

In addition to fresh and delicious food, Fuel also offers cooking classes for children and family of all ages.
