What started out as a hobby for Dawn Kohler has turned into a full-blown business.
Born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago, Dawn has long been baking homemade treats for eager taste testers. She decided to launch her own company, Sweet Considerations, to bring her baked goodies to a wider audience.
She specializes in traditional baked goods, such as brownies, cookies and cakes, as well as tarts and tea breads. She also has two specialty lines of products, Dawn Marie’s Shortbreads and Dawn Marie’s Peanut Brittle. The shortbread flavors range from the predictable to surprising, including classic vanilla bean and lavender. Her nut brittles feature flavors like five spice cashew brittle and maple bourbon peanut. All of Dawn’s sweet treats work perfectly as gifts and on desert table.
