While this may not be the deepest question Make It Better has ever tackled, it certainly sparked a flurry of comments when I recently posted it on my Facebook page.
“If you’re over 60, hose are a must,” says Laura in Lake Forest.
“No hose for sure,” responds Jen in Lake Bluff.
“Forget hose, wear pants!” chimes in Kelly from Glenview.
So what’s a practical, skirt-wearing, hose-fearing girl to do?
According to Ken Downing, Senior Vice President and Fashion Director for Neiman Marcus, panty hose are a fashion don’t. “A well-lotioned leg is always best,” Downing says.
But when it’s too cold to go bare-legged, Downing suggests a great pair of tights. From Neiman Marcus to Target and every store in between, there’s a pair of tights in the color, pattern, or texture to suit your fancy.
