On June 6, the Costume Council of the Chicago History Museum hosted an event celebrating the Chicago-born shoe designer Brian Atwood. The sold-out event, A Spring Luncheon with Brian Atwood, drew 300 guests and raised more than $30,000 in support of the Costume Council’s commitment to the Chicago History Museum.
Atwood and Susanna Homan, editor in chief of Chicago magazine, joined in conversation about career and life. Guests also enjoyed drinks, appetizers, and a raffle of Brian Atwood shoes. Atwood’s lines are popular amongst Hollywood favorites like Lady Gaga, Cardi B, and Reese Witherspoon.
Atwood’s Mother, Dusty Stemer, co-chaired the event along with Costume Council members Toni Canada and Melissa Skoog.
The event was sponsored by Brian Atwood, Moet & Chandon, and Chicago magazine.
