Chicago Cubs First Baseman Anthony Rizzo during the 2016 Respect Bald event

On March 4, members of the World Series champion Chicago Cubs took a break from spring training action to participate in Joe Maddon’s annual Respect Bald event. Maddon and participating players, including Anthony Rizzo, Kyle Schwarber and Ben Zobrist, had their heads shaved to raise money for Maddon’s Respect 90 Foundation and pediatric cancer research. The event raised more than $68,000.
