Cruising to Help Children in Need

Want a guilt-free night out?  Attend the Maryville Cruise Fundraiser for a night including dinner, drinks, dancing, fireworks, a silent auction, and a raffle with all proceeds going to the children of Maryville.

The best part?  It’s all taking place on the boat “The Spirit of Chicago,” cruising from Navy Pier into the waters of Lake Michigan!  Special guest James “Big Cat” Williams, a former Chicago Bear Pro Bowler will be aboard to sign autographs and take pictures too!

The event is sponsored by the Maryville Academy, one of Illinois’ oldest childcare agencies.  It is their mission to provide healthcare, support, education, and community development programs to children and families who need hope in times of crisis. The Academy provides healthy homes to kids and support to families as they overcome obstacles together.

The cruise is on Wednesday, June 22, 2011 from 6:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. with the boat leaving promptly at 7:00 p.m.  The $90 ticket includes dinner, wine, beer, soft drinks, and dancing!  The fireworks display is courtesy of the City of Chicago.

Enjoy a night on the lake with the peace of mind that you’re helping children in need!
