Community Celebrations: GLASA Honors the Tireless Efforts of One of Its First Volunteers

GLASA

The Great Lakes Adaptive Sports Association (GLASA), a Make It Better Philanthropy Award winner, recently honored one of the program’s first volunteers, Eileen Shaughnessy of Vernon Hills, at a luncheon hosted by Women in Development North (WIDN) at the Evanston Golf Club on May 2. Since 1994, Shaughnessy has been part of GLASA and is a founding board member of the organization. She has volunteered hundreds of hours with children and adults who have a physical or visual impairment. Eileen’s tireless efforts have helped Lake Country children and adults alike have opportunities to partake in adaptive sports and recreation in Lake County.

If you would like to get involved with the organization, learn more about volunteer opportunities and special events.
