Hearts a Bluhm: Northwestern Memorial’s Heart Health Awareness Campaign

Hearts are “bluhming” all around Chicago.

Bluhm Cardiovascular Institute of Northwestern Memorial Hospital is working on its healthy hearts awareness campaign, and with the help of individuals, corporations and artists at Columbia College Chicago, beautiful hearts will be placed all over Chicago to remind people the importance of cardiovascular health.

Here’s the details:

Who:
Columbia College artists will be designing and painting one hundred, five-foot hearts at the “Hearts a Bluhm” Art Studio at The Shops at North Bridge.

What:
Giant hearts designed by local artists from Columbia College will line Michigan Avenue this February as a part of Northwestern Memorial Bluhm Cardiovascular Institute’s “Hearts a Bluhm” healthy heart campaign.

Where:
The hearts will go on display in planters on The Magnificent Mile® from Oak Street to 400 North Michigan Avenue

When:
The entire month of February 2011

Artists from Columbia College in Chicago will be designing hearts from their own artistic perspective as well as “Team” hearts. There will even be hearts representing the Chicago Bulls, Chicago White Sox, Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs!
