On Saturday, June 18, downtown Highwood partied the night away and showed that “love always wins” at Celebrate Highwood’s 4th Annual Taste the Rainbow Pride Picnic and Pub Crawl, sponsored by Van Gogh Vodka. This year, the celebration also held a Van Gogh for Orlando fundraiser with a number of local businesses joining together in support of the LGBTQ community.
This local Pride Fest included a Taste the Rainbow picnic in Cellar Gate Wine Market’s courtyard, followed by a pub crawl throughout Highwood until the early hours of the morning. Each bar mixed up a different Van Gogh Vodka drink inspired by the colors of the rainbow including Red Sangrias, Yellow Lemon Drops and Green Appletinis, among others.
Donation jars were located throughout the downtown area for attendees and business patrons to help support the victims and families of the recent Orlando shooting, with Van Gogh Vodka matching the total donation of $1,200 raised. To continue the goodwill, donations are still being accepted through this GoFundMe page.
