Join The Volunteer Center for an Incredible Evening With ‘American Idol’ Finalist Manny Torres

The Volunteer Center of N.E. Metro Chicago (VC) invites community members and supporters of the VC, its four 2019 honorees, and fans of singer-songwriter Manny Torres to join us on Wednesday, May 22 to celebrate exceptional volunteerism. Held in the unique and charming setting of The Winnetka Chapel, where former VC Board member and event collaborator Val Haller of Val’s List holds many of her intimate concerts.

In addition to the awards presentation and the private concert featuring the soulful sounds of “American Idol” finalist Manny Torres, this incredible evening will feature food, drink, and a silent auction to benefit the impactful work of The Volunteer Center.

Each year the VC is proud to recognize exceptional volunteers like this year’s recipients who inspire others to make a difference in the world. This year’s recipients have stepped up and out to help the most vulnerable as well as those nonprofit organizations that provide professional guidance, disaster relief, and preservation of the beauty of nature.

The VC recognizes the many contributions of all volunteers, whether ongoing or short term. The Board of Directors ensures it continues to serve as a clearinghouse between its more than 160 nonprofit partners and the thousands of compassionate volunteers of all ages and abilities in the N.E. Metropolitan Chicago area.
