A deserving but disadvantaged student can become the first in their family to go to college with your help.
Ignite Progress, a partner of The Stewards Market, provides affordable standardized test tutoring to students from low-income neighborhoods in Chicago. Its unique approach to tutoring can increase ACT scores 3 to 6 points, allowing students to qualify for better schools and for more financial aid.
What: Donate to Ignite Progress’ ADVANCE program, which combines ACT prep with lessons in leadership and character development through peer tutoring and group sessions. Proceeds will also benefit Ignite Progress’ College Readiness Fund, which provides scholarships for qualified students in under-resourced communities so that they can achieve their dream of going to college.
When: Donations will be matched (up to $5,000) by a generous donor for the entire month of August.
