Quick and Easy: Pajama Donation

Join the Vernon Area Public Library in partnering with the Pajama Program to donate books and bedclothes to children in need.

When: November 10-23

Where: Vernon Area Public Library, 300 Olde Half Day Rd., Lincolnshire, IL 60069

Donate: New, unused pajamas/nightgowns for children ages infant-12 years old. New books are also welcome.

The Cause: The Pajama Program is a not-for-profit organization which has provided over 1 million new, warm pajamas and new books since to children in need since its inception. The Vernon Area Public Library is pairing with the Pajama Program to donate pajamas and books to One Hope United, a social service agency in Lake County.

One Hope United serves over 5,500 children and families in the northern Illinois/southern Wisconsin region each year, and provides services such as foster care, adoption services, residential care, family support, counseling and early childhood centers. Donate throughout November and provide a child with her first pair of pajamas or perhaps her new favorite book!
