Did you know there are close to 150,000 American servicemen and women deployed overseas in defense of our country?
According to Operation Support Our Troops Illinois, many of these troops are living in very difficult conditions with few, if any, “creature comforts.”
Their mission is to provide care packages to our troops abroad. These care packages include packaged treats and toiletries that our troops can’t easily obtain overseas. The need for basic items is great, and OSOT Illinois ships approximately 150 boxes a week from the Chicagoland area to servicemen and women primarily serving in Iraq and Afghanistan.
