Gumdrop roofs, pretzel decor and graham cracker fences galore! There was a whole lot of sweetness at the gingerbread house-building contest held by A. Perry Homes and Make It Better on Dec. 6—and it wasn’t just the candy.
Children frosted, dotted and decked out their mouth-watering masterpieces in efforts to build the prize-winning house. The prize is $250 toward the winner’s favorite charity. There were 27 entries in total. Some of the charities that participants chose as their beneficiaries include St. Jude’s Research Hospital, pediatric brain tumor research, Bernie’s Book Bank, Bridges Palliative Care Program at Lurie Children’s Hospital and Wings.
Please vote and help us decide which house’s little architect will receive $250 for the charity of his or her choice!
