Summer temps bring a seasonal dressing dilemma: How do you abide by a corporate dress code when you have a chic post-work cocktail hour?

1. Outfit Foundation
“Your transitional outfit starts with an important foundation: the buildable base. If you have fun, summery plans after the clock strikes five, select a chic square-neck sleeveless dress, or pick up one at LOFT or White House | Black Market. Layer a complementary Brooks Brothers button-up under the sheath.”
2. Office Chills
“Does your office crank up the A/C until you’re transported back to winter? Be sensible and stock your desk with three essentials you can snag at Zara: a bright cardigan, a black blazer and a patterned wrap. Even if you forgot to pair an Oxford with your original dress, slip on one of these and you’re office-appropriate.”
3. Footwear Flip
“Prepare for the shoe swap. Don a cute pair of Madewell flats or low-heeled espadrilles for work, but pack a strappy sandal for later. Bonus points for choosing one with a hint of shimmer!”
4. Remember the Details
