With summer just around the corner, it’s time to get your face prepped for warm weather with this season’s most radiant makeup.

These tips will have you looking glam, even in the heat!

Lips
During sunny days, it’s vital to apply a lip balm with SPF, but that doesn’t mean you have to eliminate color. Kiehls and Neutrogena make moisturizing and lightweight lip balms in beautiful colors that look natural and fresh.

Try these picks through Amazon.com:

Creams
Every makeup line from Bobbi Brown to Mac is all about the creams. Cream shadows and blushes create a perfect base and last longer throughout the day. Simply use your fingers to press the cream shadow onto your lids and add eyeliner.

You can also layer a powder shadow over the cream to create more concentrated color. The color will stay put and won’t crease. For blush, try a cream or tint, like Benefit’s Posietint, which gives your skin a light glow like you just went on a brisk run.

Colored Mascara
Colored mascara isn’t just for your teenage daughter. For summer, try one with a slight jewel tone like Cover Girl Eyelights Mascara in Black Sapphire. Celebrity makeup artist Brett Freedman explains, “Colored mascara gives pop. With a light-catching blue hue, this mascara will give a great boost of interest to any flutter. It also comes in waterproof.”

Tinted Moisturizer

A tinted face moisturizer with SPF offers coverage, sunscreen, and can be an ideal substitute for foundation. Laura Mercier offers a great tinted moisturizer for normal skin as well as an oil-free formula. If you prefer foundation, get one that’s sheer with SPF, which will still offer coverage but allow your skin to breathe. Freedman favors LORAC Breakthrough Performance with SPF 25 for its twist top dispenser and variety of warm colors.

Coral
Corals are hot this year. You may shy away from coral but today’s coral is modern and fresh. Start by wearing the color on just one feature. The corals now are a bit pinkier and look best splashed on cheeks or lips. Try a shade that’s based on your skin’s undertone: the lighter your skin, the lighter the coral should be. Olive and darker skin tones can wear a deeper coral because it will blend in better without looking orangey.

Complete the Look
For a full look, neutral eyes, a vibrant colored lip, and a light dusting of blush on the apples of the cheeks was THE trend on the runways and looks great when taken to the streets. Brush a bone or shimmery gold shadow on your eyes and create a punchy lip with a bright pinky coral or red. Try Bobbi Brown Long Lasting Cream Shadow in Sandy Gold and KORRES lipstick in Coral #45.
