Shorefront Legacy Series presents Angela Jackson

Northwestern University graduate Angela Jackson is returning to Evanston to celebate “Where I Must Go,” her new novel.

Shorefront, in partnership with Northwestern University Press, will host a reading and book signing for Jackson at the Shorefront Legacy Center on Thursday, December 10, 2009 from 6 to 9 p.m. 2010 Dewey Avenue, second floor theater.

Angela Jackson was born in Greenville, Mississippi, raised on Chicago’s South Side, and educated at Northwestern University and the University of Chicago. Where I Must Go: A Novel (Triquarterly Books) is Jacksons’ first novel told through the eyes of young Magdalena Grace, whose narration takes readers through both privilege and privation at that time of the American civil rights movement.

Shorefront collects, preserves, and educates people about Black history on Chicago’s north shore. Visit www.shorefrontlegacy.org.
