If it’s true that we spend a third of our lives sleeping, then why not do it in style?
Time to toss that ratty college T-shirt and faded pair of sweats and revamp your sleepwear. Kelly Ryan O’Brien, founder of the Chicago Blogger Network, former Project Runway guest host, and all-around fashionista, knows that while you’ll want something that’s great looking, you definitely don’t want to sacrifice comfort.
“Though I have the most amazing bed ever (the Sleep Number x12 with SleepIQ technology, which tracks how well I sleep!), comfy sleepwear is still a must. Itchy fabrics are the worst, no matter how good they look,” O’Brien says. “Go with comfort above all because, in the end, you’re trying to sleep.”
Our pajamas picks are cozy, beautiful and won’t pill after a few wears. Now, who wants to have a slumber party?
The Printed Pant
You won’t be embarrassed running an errand or dropping the kids off to school in these. Pair them with a ribbed tank or v-neck tee and hope that your daughter doesn’t try and snag them.

Classic Men’s-Inspired Pajamas
Eberjey’s Gisele loungewear set is inspired by classic men’s pajamas, but cut for a woman’s figure. The buttery modal and jersey fabric will make you a convert. O’Brien also favors the brand. “In my opinion, you can’t do better than Eberjey. They have anything from teddies to key lace bracelets that mix and match with the most comfortable pants you have ever felt/lived in (as I do). That same fabric is then used on dresses, jumpers, shorts and robes and further down that rabbit hole. I wear some out on the town!”

J. Crew’s Vintage Pajama Set
J. Crew’s vintage jammies run a close second to Eberjey, and with the option to monogram, these make the perfect birthday or holiday gift.
