See the latest custom home designed and built by A. Perry Homes in the Junior League of Evanston-North Shore’s Designer Kitchens of the North Shore Tour on May 4. This magnificent, custom kitchen was a collaboration between A. Perry Homes, Ilene Chase Design, and Abruzzo Kitchens & Bath. This sophisticated and classically elegant kitchen creates a bright, airy, and open feel maximizing dramatic views while balancing the functional needs of a frequently used kitchen. The homeowner wanted a spacious, functional kitchen that provided the ability to host large events, while being open to adjacent casual living spaces and comfortably accommodating everyday use.

See another A. Perry Homes custom home on Saturday, June 9, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in MainStreet Libertyville’s Historic Home Tour. Designed with a rich reverence for early 20th century style, the “New American Tudor” combines traditional Tudor elements in an eclectic, contemporary interpretation. Metal detailing at the peak of the front facade is a nod toward the half-timber gable, while the horizontal eave lines, trim, and siding oppose the steeply pitched roof, creating a distinctly contemporary feel.

Special features abound throughout the home including a secret fire log storage bench; a 16-foot two-tier kitchen island with a 6-foot sink for family cooking competitions; a built-in Cat Cottage complete with storage for food, water, and litter; unique “Fin” trim details on both the interior and exterior of the home; a light-filled stair tower; and a powder room with a glass door and missing stones that allow light to flood the space while maintaining privacy.
