For the first time ever, Pantone has released TWO colors of the year for 2016 — Rose Quartz and Serenity. “Joined together, Rose Quartz and Serenity demonstrate an inherent balance between a warmer embracing rose tone and the cooler tranquil blue, reflecting connection and wellness as well as a soothing sense of order and peace,” explains Pantone executive director Leatrice Eiseman. The pair is not only meant to bring calm and relaxation but also to symbolize the increased blurring of gender lines in fashion and society as well as the world’s movement toward gender equality.
