When we want a margarita (right now!), we don’t want a drink made with a mix full of sugar or artificial ingredients.
Here are three great margarita recipes that will have you bypassing the mixes and stirring up your own.
This one seems odd, but you’ll have to trust us because it’s flat out awesome and you can adjust the amount to serve just two or a crowd.
- 1 1/2 parts Sauza Silver Tequila
- 1/2 part Cabernet Sauvignon
- 1 part Triple Sec
- 1 part Agave Nectar
- 1 part Fresh Lime juice
Pour all ingredients over ice in mixing glass. Shake and strain into a martini glass and garnish with a lime slice.
Warm Winter Margarita
- 3 1/2 cups apple juice
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 2 cups dried fruit of your choice
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 4 shot glasses Sauza Silver Tequila
Combine apple juice and cinnamon in a heavy pot. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer for 10 minutes. Remove cinnamon stick carefully. Add sugar, dried fruit, and tequila. Mix well. Serve warm.
This one screams summer.
- 1 can frozen limeade
- 1 bottle of light beer
- 1 can of Sauza Silver Tequila
- 1 can of water
Pour limeade and beer into a pitcher filled with ice. Fill limeade can with tequila, pour into pitcher. Fill limeade can with water, pour into pitcher. Stir and enjoy.
