Quick and Easy: Play For Peace Tennis Carnival Benefiting House Of Peace Shelter

The 3rd Annual Play For Peace Tennis Carnival returns to College Park Athletic Club May 4.

What: Kids age 8-18 are ensured an evening of fun, games and prizes at the tennis carnival, organized by Lake Forest High School Varsity Tennis Coach Denise Murphy. Tennis pros from clubs across the North Shore will provide instruction and staff the games for this event.

Contestants vie for prizes while honing their skills at groundstrokes and volleys. They compete for the Fastest Serve award, test their agility on the obstacle course and duck, dodge and hurl on the dodge ball court! Food and drinks are included, and all contestants will receive a T-shirt.

The first event, the Tennis Carnival/Team Challenge for ages 8-14, runs from 6-9 p.m. Sign up as an individual or make your own team. $65 donation/person.

Next, high schoolers are welcome to the High School Girls Open Play from 8:30-10:30 p.m.   Test your skills against rival superstars! $40 donation/person.

The organization: Play the game you love and make a difference in the lives of others. One hundred percent of the proceeds from this great event will benefit the House of Peace Shelter in Lake County.
