On Oct. 1, around 700 guests enjoyed an evening at the Museum of Science and Industry during the 36th annual Columbian Ball and raised approximately $2 million for the museum’s educational programs and exhibits.

During the ball, the Pritzker Foundation was awarded the Excellence in Education Award in recognition of the foundation’s various contributions, including a $5 million gift to the museum’s Center for the Advancement of Science Education.

The event’s co-chairs were Christina and Christopher Begy and Kimberly and Greg Wasson. Honorary co-chairs were Mayor Rahm Emanuel and Amy Rule.
