Make It Better’s Associate Editor Guest Bartends for Charity on May 24

Eat, drink, and help fight Alzheimer’s at the same time!

Liz Logan, Make It Better’s associate editor, will be guest bartending at Prairie Fire downtown on Tuesday, May 24, from 6 to 8 p.m. Her tips will benefit the Alzheimer’s Association. This cause is close to Liz’s heart because her grandmother is suffering from Alzheimer’s, and she was a fellow in the National Press Foundation’s “Alzheimer’s Issues” training program in 2010.

Prairie Fire’s mixologist is creating a special pink martini (Liz’s signature color) using local strawberries, for the occasion. Chef Sarah Stegner of Wilmette, who owns both Prairie Fire downtown and Prairie Grass Café in Northbrook, will be working with her team of chefs to create an appetizer to accompany the drink.

Hope to see you there!
