The Volunteer Center (serving NE suburban Chicago) and The Interfaith Housing Center of the Northern Suburbs are teaming up for the third year to offer an exceptional day of service and inspiration for people of all ages.
Sponsored by Harris Bank, individuals, groups and families are invited to help the homeless, hospitalized and underserved children and orphaned pets with no-sew-blankets, scarves and pet toys, as well as alphabet books.
To inspire the volunteers, special featured guests—including comedian Aaron Freeman, The Soul Children of Chicago Choir, The Reverend Calvin Morris, Storyteller Susan O’Halleran and the Writers’ Theatre—will perform and educate.
