Shop Evanston Whole Foods and Bring Your Own Bag

Caring Connections for Seniors (“CCS”) is happy to announce that it will be the One Dime at a Time recipient organization at Whole Foods Market Evanston South from January-March 2012.

CCS has been operating in Rogers Park since 2009. Its participation in the One Dime at a Time program will coincide with the organization’s expansion into Evanston.

Whole Foods offers all customers 10 cents for every bag they reuse. Customers will have the choice to accept a cash refund or to donate to Caring Connections for Seniors. The One Dime at a Time program reduces our impact on the environment while supporting local non-profit groups.

About Caring Connections for Seniors:
Caring Connections for Seniors facilitates Chicago-area seniors’ access to and participation in the life of the community by bringing them together: with volunteers who provide friendly visits, telephone contact and assistance with transportation and errands; with each other in groups organized around shared interests and concerns; and with other community resources and programs.
