Welcome to our 3rd annual Guide To Giving. Because your attention and intentions are valuable, this guide is designed to help you simplify and amplify your giving-back efforts.
We’re particularly proud that this year Walgreens sponsors the guide to message their own commitment to corporate social responsibility, something we admire and applaud. The fastest way forward to a better world is for all brands to act similarly, making it easy for customers to do good while doing good business.
We are delighted to recommend all of the other businesses and organizations herein, too. This guide has been thoughtfully developed to make it as easy as possible for you to make a greater difference. Substantial knowledge of the resources on pages 14-16 inform our recommendations for easy ways you can make a difference by giving time, things or money. More than 100 years of combined experience informs our fundraising recommendations on page 18.
Our Warming Hearts and Hands program, which offers new winter outerwear and blankets through carefully vetted nonprofits, makes us proud. You can help by donating new coats, gloves, hats, scarves or blankets. We started this program six years ago in partnership with The Volunteer Center, and we thank Executive Director Barb Tubekis and the board for their continued participation. And speaking of our office, we give thanks to the Village of Winnetka and Winnetka Chamber of Commerce for sponsoring our grand opening.
