Better Makers — Celebrate Fundraising Successes and Nonprofit Supporters and Champions

“Better Makers” articles are post-event recaps that showcase the essential highlights of your fundraising event, including event title, venue, date, funds raised, organization and event leadership, host committee members, emcee, celebrity appearances, honorees, entertainment, and major sponsors. Submissions should include all of this key information, along with engaging, high-quality photographs from the event.

A strong “Better Makers” submission should also highlight the mission and impact of the organization being supported, backed by research and data, with clear examples in the submission along with impactful photos showcasing the work of the organization. The submission should also include links to trusted resources like universities, other media, nonprofits, local government, or trusted brands as relevant. Finally, the submission should include information on how readers can get involved and join you in supporting the organization. You can view an example here.

  1. Capture the Event Essence: Your article should vividly recount your event’s highlights, including the event title, venue, date, funds raised, and key participants such as organization leaders, host committee members, emcees, celebrities, honorees, entertainers, and major sponsors.
  2. Showcase the Impact: Beyond the glitz and glamor, focus on the mission and impact of the organization. Use research and data to back your claims, providing clear examples of the organization’s work. Include impactful photographs that illustrate these successes.
  3. Incorporate Quality Visuals: Include engaging, high-quality photographs from your event. Ensure you have the rights and permissions for these images, and provide proper credits and captions.
  4. Engagement and Next Steps: Detail how readers can get involved with your organization. Encourage further engagement by providing links to the organization’s volunteer and donation pages.
  5. Use Credible Sources: Your article should be supported by links and data from trusted resources such as universities, nonprofits, government entities, and other credible media.
  6. Clear, Concise, and Compelling: Keep your submission focused and engaging, with an optimal word count between 400 and 750 words. Clarity and conciseness are key to maintaining reader interest.
  7. Must Be Original and Exclusive: Your submission must be unique and exclusive to our platform. Avoid republishing content that has appeared elsewhere.
  8. Promote and Share: Once published, we encourage you to share your piece on social media and link to it from your organization’s news or media page. This broadens the impact and fosters community discussion.
