Better Makers: Natalie Morales Honored at 2018 Alzheimer’s Association Rita Hayworth Gala

The 2018 Alzheimer’s Association Rita Hayworth Gala, which took place on May 12 at the Hilton Chicago, raised more than $1.1 million for the organization’s research, care, and support programs. During the event, “Today” correspondent and “Access Live” co-host Natalie Morales and her family were given the Caregiver Award for their work raising awareness for Alzheimer’s. The family of the late actor Gene Wilder, who passed away in 2016 from complications with Alzheimer’s, received the Pure Imagination Award, and the event’s theme — Pure Imagination — paid homage to Wilder’s character in “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.” The 2018 Rita Hayworth Gala was co-chaired by Jon and Allie Harris.
