Better Makers: ZooLA Raises $225,000 for Lincoln Park Zoo

The Women’s Board of Lincoln Park Zoo hosted ZooLA, a live auction, on Nov. 12 for 125 guests. Those in attendance included John Fornengo, the evening’s auctioneer; Kim Theiss, Women’s Board of Lincoln Park Zoo president; John Ettelson, chairman of the board of Lincoln Park Zoo; Kevin Bell, Lincoln Park Zoo president and CEO; Susan Flynn; and Kimbra Walter.

The event raised more than $225,000. Proceeds will support the work of the Women’s Board and their pledge to support the zoo’s mission through state-of-the-art facilities and programs. There are several new exhibits currently in the works, including the Walter Family Arctic Tundra, the Robert and Mayari Pritzker Penguin Cove and an education center.

Co-chairs for ZooLA were Shawn Sandor and Vasiliki Weiden.
