It’s a typical summer weekend in Chicagoland: There’s so much to do! With Taste of Chicago, Taste of Lakeview and Windy City Smokeout, you’ll be so busy (and so full!). But while you shouldn’t miss those annual favorites, you also shouldn’t miss sidewalk sales in Northbrook and Evanston, a concert in Millennium Park, golf in Glenview and a burger fest in Roscoe Village.

Here are five things to do in and around Chicago this weekend:
Find deals from local merchants, as well as balloon artists, activities for kids, contests and food. On Sunday, come back to Northbrook’s Village Green for Sundae in the Park.
Fill up your picnic basket and head to the Jay Pritzker Pavilion for this weekend’s Grant Park Music Festival concert. The show will include selections from “Sweeney Todd,” “Company” and “Into the Woods.”
Continue your search for amazing deals from local stores at this annual sale. Participating businesses include Happy Husky Bakery, Maya Papaya and Tony Macarony, Perennials, Stella and The Spice House. The City of Evanston Water Truck will be around on Friday, and Saturday events include Yoga in the Park, live music and optical pre-screening by Spex.
Fans of golf won’t want to miss out on this Champions Tour event. There are a variety of events throughout the week, but the First Round Encompass Championship Pro-Am begins on Friday and continues through the weekend.
Sink your teeth into delicious burgers from Butcher & Burger, Red Door, Rocket Burger Bar, Hackney’s and more. You can also enjoy live music and a Kids’ Zone.
