The Women’s Board of The Joffrey Ballet will host a luncheon in celebration of its iconic production, The Nutcracker.

The event is being held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 12, at Hyatt Regency Chicago’s Crystal Ballroom, but livestream access will be available to those unable to join in-person. The day will be dedicated to the lifecycle of a dancer, highlighting the impact Christopher Wheeldon’s The Nutcracker has had on audiences and performers of all ages and abilities.

Guests will enjoy a conversation — moderated by Joffrey Rehearsal Director and former company artist Suzanne Lopez — among a panel of guests, including children’s cast members, current company artists and pre-professional students. The panel will highlight Tricia Strong, the Joffrey Academy of Dance’s head of children’s, adult and adaptive programs, who will speak on the Joffrey’s adaptive dance program JAM – Joffrey Abilities in Motion, and her student’s involvement in Wheeldon’s iconic production
