Don’t Miss Sun Safety Day at Wrigley Field (Kids Get Free Cubs World Series Sun Shirts!)

Wrigley Field Sun Day

On July 22, Mott 50, the Pediatric Sun Protection Foundation and Advocate Children’s Hospital will co-host Sun Safety Day at Wrigley Field. The first 5,000 children to attend will receive a free SPF 100 swim shirt, featuring the Chicago Cubs World Series champion logo. Mott 50, a sun protective clothing company, was founded by Anne Reilly.

Dr. Amy Brodsky is the president of the Pediatric Sun Protection Foundation, whose mission is to prevent skin cancer by educating children about the dangers of childhood sun exposure. According to research, a sunburn in a child can lead to double the risk of developing melanoma later in life. According to the American Cancer Society, “More skin cancers are diagnosed in the U.S. each year than all other cancers combined,” and the number of cases continues to increase each decade.

Dr. Brodsky, along with the American Academy of Dermatology, recently wrote a resolution to Congress, stressing the importance of sun safety in children.

Mott 50 is a brand that is both stylish and protective, featuring everything from cute lightweight dresses to comfy tees. Mott 50 also has a UPF (ultraviolet protection factor — the rating applied to sun-protective clothing) of 50, ensuring ultimate skin protection from the sun’s harsh rays.
