Become Your Own Video Producer at ECTV

Evanston Community Television is an incredible resource where anyone can explore video and TV.

ECTV provides opportunities for citizens in Evanston and beyond, such as:

  • Use of up-to-date video and audio technology, including camcorders, lighting and sound equipment, editing facilities and two complete television studios
  • Classes in film editing, field camera work and film production
  • Access to ECTV’s knowledgeable staff
  • A cable channel to broadcast completed films and programs

Anyone on the North Shore can become a member of ECTV for as little as a $30 annual fee.

Steve Bartlebaugh, executive director of ECTV, says, “ECTV provides access to state-of-the-art equipment to everyone from junior high students in our Summer Video Camp to seniors who want to have their voices heard. ECTV programming can now be seen worldwide with 24-7 web streaming on all 3 of our community channels.”

Bartlebaugh says: “I’m so proud of our organization. We have been in existence for 25 years and we have never been afraid to embrace new technology, train volunteers and provide a community service that will only become more popular if we receive the financial support of Evanston and neighboring communities.” ECTV has expanded its membership to include a 25-mile radius of Evanston.

Sadly, ECTV’s budget has had severe cuts, which have forced ECTV to move locations, but it expects to persevere. For more information about the organization or its goals, visit ECTV.com.
